Small Batch Colorado Grain to Glass Spirits

In a world of mass-produced spirits and beverages where quality and attention to detail is often lost, Idlewild Spirits was founded in 2015 by Master Distiller, Jeff Ruhle in effort to offer the highest level of locally sourced and produced premium craft spirits and cocktails.  Idlewild only sources unique Colorado grain varietals.  We mill our local grains no more than 12 hours before going into the mash tun and we distill, barrel, age and bottle about 100 yards away from Vasquez Creek, the same water we use in our stills.

At Idlewild Spirits we pride ourselves on creating premium & intriguing new-age spirits.  We exclusivley use Colorado grown grains in all of our spirits, milled at our distillery within hours of  going into the mash tun.  We distill, barrel, age and bottle at 8,787 ft in the Colorodo Rocky Mountains to bring you true Colorado Spirits.

Rye Whiskey

Idlewild Spirits Rye Whiskey is not a typical Rye Whiskey — so don’t try to make it fit into a mold. An undeniably smooth, approachable libation that makes both novice and expert whiskey drinkers swoon. With rounded heat, and a perfectly spiced back end — the palate is
a bit sweeter due to the Colorado-grown variety of rye, not bold or overly spicy.

PURPLE DAZE GIN

Purple Daze Gin

Lavish, mysterious deep violet hues make this New American gin an intriguing upgrade for any gin cocktail.  A floral steeping process lends an earthy balance to the aromatics of a dozen botanicals including lavender, coriander and angelica root. Freshley zested citrus and a luxurious mouthfeel create a truly exquisite gin experience.

hibiscus gin

HIBISCUS GIN

Hibiscus Gin

Dried hibiscus flowers lend this gin creation a deep scarlet hue with tart berry and citrus flavors. Appealing to wine drinkers too, the tannins in the hibiscus lead to the classic dry mouth-feel of a red wine. The color and tartness makes this a brilliantly colorful substitute for regular gin in almost any gin cocktail and cuts through the sweetness of numerous cocktails, giving it a refreshing twist.

BARREL AGED GIN

Barrel Aged Gin

New American Gin aged in used bourbon barrels greatly softens the Juniper notes and allows the the aromatics of the 12 other essential
botanicals we use including coriander, lavender, angelica & licorice root to pronounce themselves.   After aging, the freshly zested citrus combined with the char of the barrel has complex, earthy finish.

VODKA

Vodka

Distilled 9 times with Colorado corn and malted barley
which lends a light sweetness while providing a full
bodied and luxurious mouthfeel. Made with our own
spirits, still and water that runs straight down the
mountain of the national forest that passes just yards

from our distillery!
